Brad Pitt started his day-dreaming as a young movie-loving kid. As he grew older, he knew he had to do something big. He was met with success in Hollywood, and he’s a face that the film industry will never forget. From Journalism student to the “Sexiest Man Alive,” Brad Pitt is a legend in the film industry.

Childhood: William “Brad” Pitt was born in Shawnee Oklahoma. His family then moved to Springfield, Missouri. He grew up playing sports and acting at his high school and later went to the University of Missouri to the School of Journalism. This didn’t suit Brad and he dreamed of an acting career in Hollywood. Brad dropped out school and headed for Beverly Hills.

Brad’s Career: Early on Brad Pitt had to make a living driving a limousine, but soon began getting acting roles in television. He floated around many different scenes in such sitcoms as “Head of the Class” and “Growing Pains”, as well as many soap operas like “Dallas” and “Another World.” But none of these would get Brad Pitt the fame that he wanted and audiences now know him for; and these roles barely paid the bills.

While he was building small screen experience, Brad finally got a roll in a 1989 horror flick, that earned him a whopping 12,000 dollars, called “Cutting Class.” This was the beginning of his credited big-screen work that propelled him into the eyes of movie-goers everywhere. From there, Brad Pitt shot into the 90’s like a shooting star that would soon be a house-hold name in the mid to late-nineties.

The mid-nineties were a busy year for Pitt. He filmed 4 major movies; all of which showcased his amazing talent, and ability to play vastly different roles. These titles are “Interview with the Vampire,” “Legends of the Fall,” “Se7en,”, and “Twelve Monkeys,” in which his role landed him a nomination for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actor.

Since the middle of the 90’s, Brad Pitt has yet to slow down in his climb to fame, as well as his adoration for the world communities. Although since then he has made great characters come to life in such films as “Fight Club,” “Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen,” “Troy,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” and “Babel,” Pitt has used his fame to be able to catapult awareness for AIDS research, and other global health problems that need addressing.

The two were seen increasing their time together, and then surprised everyone when Jolie made it public that she was having Brad’s baby. The two now live in California and Louisiana.

  1. […] Her real claim to fame in the film industry didn’t come until later on in her career when she was cast as a living version of the popular video game character Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, which received mixed American reviews, but had a very accepting fan base internationally and a large cult following.  The role gave her an edge to be able to play other roles such as a sequel to the film, and another one of her most popular parts as Jane Smith in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, co-starring her new partner and father of her only biological child, Brad Pitt.
