Saving the Dolphins:

Hayden was given the Compassion in Action Award by PETA for trying to fight off Japanese fisherman from killing dolphins near the place she and some of her friends were surfing. While they were there, they witnessed the fisherman trying to push the dolphins into a nearby cove and kill them. The dispute became violent, and the surfers along with Panettiere were threatened by the fishermen. A warrant for her arrest has been issued in Japan for her interference.

Wardrobe Malfunction:

The Super-Finger was birthed out of Dane Cook’s need to find a more spicy use of the middle finger, which he found had lost its potency long ago. Instead of lifting just the middle finger, Dane decided to lift both his middle and ring finger, which supposedly added it the extra kick that had become tolerated.

When Dane’s fan base started growing, his mind started working on ways to pull in even more fame. He launched his first comedy album “Harmful if Swallowed” in 2003, which later went double platinum. The album got Comedy Central’s attention, and they signed him on for more disc projects. Dane gave birth to Retaliation, which became the highest charting comedy album in almost 30 years.

His popularity continued to accelerate, and he was offered a leading role in the film “Employee of the Month.” Although the movie didn’t do very well, the coverage of Cook was enough to continue his success. Plagiarism Speculation:

Sometime after Retaliation was released, some people were concerned that Dane Cook was stealing material from another comedian’s work done in 2001. The comedian, Louis C.K. claimed that some of his material was stolen from his Live in Houston album. Surfing on the wake of her Parent Trap success, Lindsay starred in other Disney roles such as another remake of the classic “Freaky Friday” in 2003, which was Lohan’s most successful film.

Lohan seemed to be at the top of her game and was offered other Disney Made for TV movies. In 2004, she was given the lead in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls, both of which were mildly successful at the box office. The critics who were at one point raving about Lohan were beginning to doubt.

After mean girls, it seemed as though Lohan’s personal life had gotten in the way, and reviews of her roles began to taint box office success. In 2007 Lohan was arrested when she lost control of her vehicle and police found cocaine within her possession. She was later admitted to a rehab clinic. Only a month later, Lohan was again arrested for cocaine possession.

Her "Baby One More Time" titled album sold 25 million copies worldwide, and she was named one of 1998’s biggest pop-stars.

After the international fame, criticism followed. As Britney soon learned being an international icon had it’s difficulties. The Rolling Stone cover of April 1999 couldn’t have given Britney more negative feedback than anything in her career. Speculation grew as to whether or not she had been given breast implants or not. Later that same year, she and fellow Mickey Mouse Club member Justin Timberlake were beginning to seem a little more than just friends, and in 2000, they publicly announced that they were a couple.

In 2002 her relationship ended with Timberlake and two years later she was married to Kevin Federline, which also sparked controversy in Spears’ life. Among the controversy of her rumored pending divorce Spears posed nude for the August 2006 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, and was also pregnant with her second child, Jayden James Federline who was born on September 12, 2006. Two days before her oldest child’s first birth day.

The next year would be extremely hard for Spears. In the year 2007, Britney Spears got divorced, lost her aunt to breast cancer, battled ex-husband Kevin for child custody, and admitted herself to drug rehabilitation.

Although the star says that her career is not over, and has attempted to hold concerts that have received unfavorable reviews, she will be recording and releasing another single, Piece Of Me, which will be released in 2008, and is held with high expectations as she makes her hopeful comeback.

Justin Timberlake is probably most well known for his work with popular boy-band ‘N Sync. Although Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club is where Justin started, ‘N Sync is where Justin’s career really took off. In 2002, Timberlake decided to go solo, and released his album “Justified” which sold over 9 million copies throughout the world. Although primarily a singer/songwriter, Justin’s success has given him the chance to do other things such as act and start a fashion label.

Early Life:

Justin grew up in a Christian home. Although his parents divorced and remarried, he still remained close to this mother, who is in charge of an entertainment company called Just In Time Entertainment. Since his father was a Choir director at a Baptist church, Justin grew up with the desire to sing. His first attempts to break into music were on Star Search singing Country, but did not getting his big break until later.

Career:

The more notable beginning of his career started with ‘N Sync. The band was mega-popular and gave Timberlake the title of being one of very few teen idols at that time. ‘N Sync had one of the fastest selling albums in 2000. They released No Strings Attached which burst the boy band into instant popularity.

After a brief break from singing and touring with ‘N Sync, Timberlake decided to take the road of a solo artist, and began doing solo projects.

From 2002 to present, Justin Timberlake has put a lot of focus on his solo projects and acting career. With the release of his debut solo album Justified, and selling over 9 million copies of the album, Justin was met with a great bit of success; the album sold close to half a million copies in the first week alone. There were several songs on the album that reached the top ten singles chart such as Cry Me a River and Rock Your Body.

Due to the popularity raised from both solo albums, Justin Timberlake has also been able to do other work that has boosted his career. He has acted in movies such as Alpha Dog and the hit animated movie Shrek 3 as King Arthur.

Justin has also started his own fashion label and restaurants throughout the US. Justin Timberlake was also the first celebrity to be “Punk’d” by Ashton Kutcher.

Another funny fact is that Timberlake has what some would call another “unofficial” single called “Dick in a Box” which is a satirical music video that was originally put on Saturday Night Live. The video is one of the most popular videos on Youtube.com and is a SNL classic.  Many imitated the video by dressing as “Dick in a Box” for Halloween.  One such celebrity was Nick Lachey.

Wardrobe Malfunction:

On the Halftime Show of Superbowl 38 in 2004, Justin and Janet Jackson were performing on stage together when during part of the performance, Justin took old of Janet’s costume (as was choreographed) but it accidentally ripped and exposed her breast.  The term used for this malfunction was indeed “Wardrobe Malfunction” and the term has never been the same.
