No one has quite grown up on the screen like Lindsay Lohan has. She’s given her audience laughs and then she has given them tears. Her performances are nothing shy of amazing, but lately her decisions have been immature and available to the public eye, it has torn away at her career in a way that would make anyone upset.
Early Life:
Lindsay Lohan’s life was fairly normal outside of her dad being in prison for a little over four years after being charged with securities fraud. She has three younger siblings, all of which have made special appearances in two of her movies, The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. Lindsay wanted to start acting at a young age, and did so through determination and passion.
Career:
Her early career started in modeling for magazines, acting in commercials, which later lead to her having roles in some soap operas. The spot light was always on her. She was the cute red-head with talent as big as the world itself. And that talent was then realized in Disney’s remake of “The Parent Trap”, which jettisoned Lindsay’s career as one of the best child actors of the decade.
The role sent critics through the roof with excitement for this small package of talent and they all expected great things coming from Lindsay’s career, and they were right. Surfing on the wake of her Parent Trap success, Lindsay starred in other Disney roles such as another remake of the classic “Freaky Friday” in 2003, which was Lohan’s most successful film.
Lohan seemed to be at the top of her game and was offered other Disney Made for TV movies. In 2004, she was given the lead in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls, both of which were mildly successful at the box office. The critics who were at one point raving about Lohan were beginning to doubt.
After mean girls, it seemed as though Lohan’s personal life had gotten in the way, and reviews of her roles began to taint box office success. In 2007 Lohan was arrested when she lost control of her vehicle and police found cocaine within her possession. She was later admitted to a rehab clinic. Only a month later, Lohan was again arrested for cocaine possession.
